We recently completed a comprehensive 12-day tour of Egypt with Sofy Egypt Tours, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional service and memorable experiences they provided our group of seven.
Outstanding Guides - The Heart of Our Journey:
Our tour was made truly special by the incredible team of expert guides who accompanied us throughout Egypt:
• Mr. Ahmed - The warm welcome and immigration assistance by this wonderful gentleman made our entry into Egypt as smooth as Egyptian cotton.
• Mr. Carlos in Luxor and Aswan - knowledgeable, engaging, and brought ancient history to life with passion.
• Mr. Mohamed El Naggar at Luxor airport and at the dock in Aswan - his expertise and friendly demeanor made the hospitality and experience truly enriching.
• Ms. Manal in Alexandria - professional and informative, making our Alexandria experience wonderful.
• Ms. Laila at Giza and Saqqara - her deep knowledge of the pyramids was impressive and infectious.
• Ms. Norhan at GEM - provided fascinating insights at the Grand Egyptian Museum.
• Mr. Noor in Fayoum - truly exceptional, making our Fayoum excursion a highlight of the trip.
Each guide was not only highly learned and scholarly but also warm, friendly, and genuinely caring about our experience.
The Best Part - Our Driver Mustafa:
I must give special recognition to our driver Mustafa, who was simply outstanding. He is such a darling and kind person who went above and beyond throughout our journey. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made every transfer comfortable and enjoyable. Mustafa wasn't just a driver; he became a friend to all of us.
Exceptional Tour Management:
Mr. Adel (Abdul Karim) deserves the highest praise for his professionalism and expertise. He designed our entire tour with meticulous attention to detail and supervised daily operations to ensure everything ran smoothly. His knowledge, responsiveness, and dedication to our satisfaction were truly remarkable. Mr. Adel's personal involvement in overseeing our tour made all the difference.
Excellent Arrangements:
The overall arrangements were excellent - from domestic flights and hotel bookings in Luxor and Aswan, to all site visits with entry tickets and activities. The coordination was seamless, and Sofy Egypt Tours demonstrated exceptional organizational skills throughout.
Areas for Improvement:
While the tour was overwhelmingly positive, I must mention two areas that fell below expectations:
• Pyramids Park Resort Cairo - The rooms were below standard and need improvement. Additionally, we had an unfortunate experience at the currency exchange booth inside the hotel, where the staff member was unprofessional and rude. This isolated incident was disappointing, especially since it contrasts sharply with the warmth and hospitality we experienced from Egyptian people everywhere else during our journey.
• Andrea Nile Dinner Cruise - This experience did not meet the quality standards we expected and could be significantly improved.
These minor issues, however, did not diminish the overall excellence of our Egyptian adventure.
Final Thoughts:
Sofy Egypt Tours provided us with excellent service from start to finish. Mr. Abdul Karim (Adel) and his team were cooperative, accommodating, and genuinely wonderful to work with throughout the planning and execution phases. Their responsiveness to our requests and flexibility in customizing our itinerary was greatly appreciated.
I highly recommend Sofy Egypt Tours to anyone planning an Egyptian journey. Their combination of expert guides, professional management, excellent service, and genuine hospitality made our trip truly unforgettable.
