7 Day Itinerary Egypt Tours – Cairo, Fayoum Oasis, Luxor, Aswan & Abu Simbel Adventure

Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with our 7 Day Itinerary Egypt Tours, a private and expertly guided journey through Egypt’s most iconic and hidden treasures. This immersive experience takes you from the bustling streets of Cairo to the serene temples of Luxor, the Nubian charm of Aswan, and the majestic monuments of Abu Simbel. Designed for travelers who seek depth, authenticity, and comfort, this tour blends ancient history, natural beauty, and vibrant culture in one unforgettable itinerary.

Your journey begins with a scenic escape to Fayoum Oasis, a protected natural reserve southwest of Cairo. You’ll explore Wadi El Rayan, home to Egypt’s only waterfalls, formed by the overflow of agricultural water. The area offers stunning desert landscapes, serene lakes, and the legendary Birket Qarun, once known as Lake Moeris. You’ll visit Mudawara Mountain and the Magic Lake, both offering surreal views and peaceful surroundings. Fayoum was once called Crocodilopolis, a city where crocodiles were worshipped and adorned with gold—your guide will share these fascinating stories as you explore. A late lunch is served at a quality local restaurant before returning to Cairo.

Next, you’ll fly to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes, where the West Bank reveals its hidden treasures. You’ll visit the Valley of the Kings, including the lesser-known but spectacular Tomb of Khaemwaset, son of Ramesses III. Explore Deir el-Bahari, home to tombs not typically included in standard tours, and stand before the towering Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the majestic Luxor Temple, followed by a stroll through the local market (Souk), where authentic crafts and spices await—far from the tourist crowds.

Your fourth day takes you to Abydos and Dendera, two of Egypt’s most beautifully preserved temple complexes. At Abydos, you’ll explore the Temple of Seti I, known for its exquisite hieroglyphs, and the mysterious underground Osireion, believed to be a symbolic tomb of Osiris. The ancient cemetery of Abydos offers insight into early dynastic burials. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, a stunning Ptolemaic structure with vibrant original colors still visible. Don’t miss the Dendera Zodiac, a replica of the famous astronomical ceiling (the original is housed in the Louvre), and explore the temple’s underground crypts. You’ll spend the night in Luxor.

On day five, you’ll dive deeper into Luxor’s West Bank. Visit the Tomb of Sennedjem, a perfectly preserved burial site of a royal craftsman, and explore the Workers’ Village at Deir el-Medina, where the tomb builders lived. Discover Medinet Habu, Ramesses III’s mortuary temple, known for its vivid reliefs and peaceful atmosphere. You’ll also visit the Tombs of the Nobles, including Rekhmire and Sennofer, which depict scenes of daily life in astonishing detail. In the afternoon, explore the vast Karnak Temple, followed by a city tour before heading south.

From Luxor, you’ll travel to Aswan, stopping en route to visit the Temple of Edfu and Kom Ombo, two remarkable temples along the Nile. In Aswan, you’ll explore Elephantine Island, the Nubian Museum, and the Unfinished Obelisk, which reveals ancient stone-carving techniques. Visit the Fatimid Cemetery, a hilltop site with beautiful Islamic tombstones, and shop at Souk el-Arab, a traditional market full of spices and crafts. In the evening, enjoy a felucca ride to Lord Kitchener Island, followed by a cultural evening in a Nubian village, featuring music, dance, and henna painting. You’ll stay overnight in a traditional Nubian guesthouse.

Your final day takes you to the awe-inspiring Abu Simbel, where you’ll arrive early to explore the temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari before the crowds. Visit the Sound and Light Show preparation area, then continue to New Kalabsha, a relocated temple often overlooked by tourists. Explore Beit el-Wali, a small but exquisite temple with vivid reliefs, and enjoy panoramic views of Lake Nasser and the High Dam, a marvel of modern engineering. Return to Aswan for a traditional farewell dinner at the historic Sofra Restaurant, then fly back to Cairo.

Throughout your 7 Day Itinerary Egypt Tours, you’ll enjoy private transportation, expert multilingual guides, entry to all listed sites, daily lunches, and authentic cultural experiences. Whether you’re fascinated by ancient tombs, enchanted by desert oases, or drawn to Nubian heritage, this tour offers a complete and unforgettable journey through Egypt’s soul.
