Early morning transfer to Cairo Airport to board the flight to Aswan. Visit the famous Abu Simbel Temple. The two temples of Abu Simbel are considered the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of the New Kingdom. The Egyptian government and UNESCO decided to cooperate to save these temples from flooding. The Temple of Ramses II was dedicated to the 4 gods Ptah, Re-Her-Akhtey, Amun-Ra, and to Ramesses II himself. The great Temple of Abu Simble is also known as the Temple of the Sun of Ramses II. The Temple of Queen Nefertari is also called the Temple of Hathor, who was the wife of the Sun God in a symbolic way.
