Was picked up from downtown Cairo early in the morning. We started with a visit of the museum downtown just a few blocks away. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and passionnate. I learnt a lot. We followed by a short visit to a papyrus shop where I also learnt about the craft of papyrus making from the stems of papyrus plant. Finally we headed to the site of the mysterious Giza pyramids. So many discoveries yet to be made about this archeological site. Again, the guide was a mine of information.
